Avtron is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with a strong Lean and Continuous Improvement focus to drive operational excellence on the shop floor. The role combines traditional manufacturing engineering with Lean expertise to improve processes, reduce waste, and boost productivity.

Around 60–70% of time will be on Lean activities, including Kaizen events, coaching teams, and standard work, with the rest on core engineering tasks and documentation.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, Lean Manufacturing and/or continuous improvement in a production environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with experience in root cause analysis, process mapping, time studies and standard work.

Responsabilidades

• Lead Lean and continuous improvement activities, including Kaizen events, A3 problem solving, 5S, process mapping and waste elimination across manufacturing.
• Identify and deliver measurable improvements in productivity, quality, cost, cycle time, material usage and operational flow.
• Lead manufacturing engineering projects covering process improvement, equipment upgrades, layout optimisation, standard work and manufacturing documentation.
• Coach and collaborate with operators, team leaders and cross-functional teams to embed Lean principles and sustain improvements.
• Own high-visibility cost-saving projects, tracking validated savings and presenting progress and results to the Lean Manager and C-suite leadership.
