Job summary

Itron in United Kingdom is seeking an Industrial Engineer to develop and optimize manufacturing methods for parts, subassemblies, and finished products. You will work with Manufacturing Engineering and cross-functional teams on NPI, labor standards, and continuous improvement to drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

You will lead time studies, establish standard work, analyze processes, and support LEAN initiatives such as kaizen events and 5S, while sustaining scalable operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 1+ year of industrial/manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience with LEAN principles and continuous-improvement methods.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project-planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, establish, and maintain process cycle times, labor standards, and routings.
• Perform time studies and analyze processes to improve productivity.
• Coordinate NPI releases and manufacturing support across teams.
• Estimate costs and recommend tooling, staffing, and processes.
• Review production lines to optimize operator utilization and floor space.
• Identify bottlenecks and capacity limitations; drive improvements.
• Lead LEAN initiatives including kaizen events, Gemba walks, and 5S.
• Maintain plant layout and create clear work instructions and process maps.
