Job summary

SPACE is seeking a motivated Lead Youth Work Practitioner to join our Barnstaple and Bideford youth centres and wider communities. This role focuses on leading sessions and providing tailored support to young people, helping them access opportunities and grow within safe spaces.

The position is permanent, 30 hours per week, based in North Devon with mileage reimbursement for travel between sites. A commitment to safeguarding and ongoing professional development is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in youth work or willingness to change careers to work with young people.
• Ability to lead engaging sessions and work as part of a youth work team.
• Experience developing individual packages of support for young people.

Responsibilities

• Lead sessions across Barnstaple and Bideford youth centres and local communities.
• Develop and monitor individual packages of support for young people.
• Support safeguarding and welfare through DBS checks and policy adherence.
