Job summary

The Lead for Written Assessment – Year 3 and 5 at University of Leicester Medical School will lead the development, delivery and quality assurance of written assessments for Years 3 and 5 of the MB ChB programme, including Short Answer Question and Single Best Answer examinations, and will act as the local academic lead for the Medical Licensing Assessment Applied Knowledge Test.

Qualifications

• Medically qualified doctor with GMC registration and licence to practise.
• Experience in undergraduate or postgraduate medical education and assessment.
• Experience as an examiner in undergraduate medical assessments is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, delivery and quality assurance of written assessments for MB ChB Years 3 and 5.
• Oversee Short Answer Question and Single Best Answer exams and MLAT AKT duties.
• Contribute to assessment strategy, question bank development, standard setting and marking processes.
• Coordinate examiner activities and drive continuous quality improvement across the programme.
