Job summary

The University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking a Lead Pharmacist to provide high quality clinical pharmacy services within Women’s Health and Maternity across the Trust’s wards. You will develop and lead medicines management, screen ward TTOs, support maternity teams, mentor junior staff, and work with Clinical Service Leads and governance to ensure safe, effective care.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective clinical and medicines management service to patients in your areas at the Trust.
• Lead, develop and deliver education and training in the pharmaceutical aspects of Women's Health and Maternity to other healthcare professionals.
• To manage more junior rotational staff allocated to your areas including aspects of day-to-day line management and acting as a diploma tutor/designated supervisor as needed.
• Identify areas within Women’s Health and Maternity services where improvements in both quality and cost effectiveness of pharmaceutical care and prescribing may be encouraged.
