Job summary

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking a capable clinical pharmacist to lead the Women's Health and Maternity Pharmacy Team. The role focuses on delivering high quality medicines optimisation, developing services across wards and collaborating with Trust teams to support patient-centred care.

You will develop KPI-driven improvements, supervise junior staff, and build competencies to provide neonatal and paediatric services alongside Women's Health.

Qualifications

  • Masters Degree in Pharmacy and GPHC registration.
  • +1 year pre-registration training.
  • Post-graduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent.
  • Evidence of CPD and ongoing professional development.
  • Registered independent prescriber or currently working towards.

Responsibilities

  • Check prescriptions for clarity, safety and efficacy on wards and dispensaries.
  • Provide information to nursing and medical staff on medicines policy and to patients regarding their medication.
  • Lead floor team, directing and organising pharmacists and technicians to ensure responsibilities are met.
  • Ensure discharge medications are accurate and communicated to GPs for safe transfer to primary care.
