Job summary

Contract Scotland is seeking an experienced General Foreman to lead water infrastructure projects across Scotland. You will manage site teams, coordinate labour and subcontractors, and ensure work meets quality, cost, and schedule targets while maintaining safety at the forefront.

In this role you’ll drive continuous improvement, plan with look-ahead programmes, and build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders to deliver critical infrastructure for communities.

Qualifications

• Must hold SMSTS and NRSWA Supervisor qualifications.
• EUSR/DOMS Network qualifications and CSCS Gold Card are essential.
• Confined Space (Medium Risk) and First Aid certifications are expected.
• Construction Management qualification is preferred.
• Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel throughout Scotland.

Responsibilities

• Lead the safe and efficient delivery of water infrastructure projects.
• Supervise direct labour and site-based subcontractors.
• Ensure work is completed to agreed quality, cost and programme requirements.
• Support project planning through look-ahead programmes and resource management.
• Manage site health, safety, environmental and compliance standards.
• Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings.
• Assist with project change management and risk mitigation plans.
• Build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
