Job summary

Birmingham City Council is seeking an Investigations Team Leader in the Waste Enforcement Unit within Environmental Health. This permanent role oversees a team of Waste Enforcement Officers and drives the service to strengthen enforcement against environmental crime, including fly-tipping.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading teams, thorough knowledge of environmental enforcement legislation, excellent communication and organisational skills, and hold a valid driving

Qualifications

• Proven experience in leading and managing teams.
• Thorough understanding of environmental enforcement legislation and procedures.
• Ability to make informed decisions in complex situations.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to liaise with elected members, stakeholders and partners.
• Capable of prioritising multiple demands to meet deadlines.
• Must hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
