About the role
Reporting to the Operations Managers and Health & Safety Advisor within the depot, the Lead Warehouse Trainer will ensure delivery of training on working processes, manual handling, MHE, and maintain training records for all colleagues. The role involves delivering professional training, supporting managers and colleagues, and may require working in the warehouse during peak times and occasional travel for training and meetings. Extra responsibility pay applies during training periods.
Responsibilities
- Induction Training: Oversee and provide induction training to new colleagues.
- Practical Training: Conduct sessions on technical skills including LLOPs, FLTs, PPTs, and other MHE.
- Health & Safety: Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and guidelines.
- Proactive Support: Deliver additional and refresher training as needed.
- Support: Provide ongoing support and assessments during training.
- Collaboration: Work with senior managers and trainers to cover all onsite training needs across shifts.
Qualifications and Skills
- MHE Training Qualification or working towards one.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Good presentation skills for groups and individuals.
- Knowledge of MHE and relevant legislation.
- Understanding of Health and Safety legislation.
- Passionate, professional, and credible approach to health, safety, and training.
- Technical understanding of MHE and warehouse SOPs.
- Warehouse operational knowledge, especially during busy periods.
- Attention to detail, initiative, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills at all levels.
