About the role

Working within the depot reporting to the Operations Managers and Health & Safety Advisor, the Lead Warehouse Trainer will ensure that all training, including working processes, manual handling, and MHE training, is delivered to the required standard. The role involves maintaining training records for all colleagues, delivering professional training and development, and supporting managers, warehouse trainers, and colleagues in their daily duties. During peak times, you may be required to work within the warehouse and support business needs. The role may also involve occasional travel for training delivery and personal development, including attending training and meetings.

Extra responsibility premium will be added on top of hourly wage during training.

Responsibilities
  • Induction Training: Oversee and deliver induction training for new colleagues.
  • Practical Training: Conduct technical training sessions on MHE equipment such as LLOPs, FLTs, PPTs, and other machinery.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure all colleagues and trainers comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Proactive Support: Support ongoing and refresher training as needed.
  • Support and Assessment: Provide support during inductions and practical training, using proper assessments.
  • Collaboration: Work with senior managers and trainers to ensure training coverage across shifts.
Requirements

You will need:

  • MHE Training Qualification or be working towards one.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Good presentation skills for groups and individuals.
  • Knowledge of MHE and relevant legislation.
  • Understanding of health and safety legislation.
  • A passionate, professional approach to health, safety, and training.
  • Technical knowledge of warehouse SOPs and equipment.
  • Warehouse operational knowledge, especially during busy periods.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and initiative.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
