Job Responsibilities:
About the role

Working within the depot, reporting to the Operations Managers and Health & Safety Advisor. The Lead Warehouse Trainer ensures all training—including working processes, manual handling, MHE training—is delivered to the required standard, with training records maintained for all colleagues. The role involves delivering professional training and development, supporting Managers, Warehouse Trainers, and Colleagues in daily duties. During peak times, you may work within the warehouse and perform other tasks to support business needs. Occasional travel to deliver training to other areas and for personal development, including training and meetings, may be required.

Extra responsibility premium will be added on top of the hourly wage during training periods.

Responsibilities include:
  • Induction Training: Oversee the induction process and train new colleagues on site.
  • Practical Training: Conduct practical sessions supporting warehouse operations, including LLOPs, FLTs, PPTs, and other MHE.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure adherence to onsite and machine health and safety regulations.
  • Proactive Approach: Support additional and refresher training as needed.
  • Support: Provide ongoing support during inductions and practical training, using assessments and evaluations.
  • Collaboration: Work with Senior Managers and trainers to cover all onsite training requirements across shifts.
You will need:
  • MHE Training Qualification or working towards one.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Good presentation skills for groups and individuals.
  • Knowledge of MHE and relevant legislation.
  • Understanding of Health and Safety legislation.
  • A passionate, professional approach to health, safety, and training.
  • Technical understanding of MHE/Warehouse SOPs.
  • Warehouse operational knowledge, especially during busy periods.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
