Job summary

The Fresh Produce Centre is seeking a Lead Operative to manage a designated area of the warehouse. You will oversee the movement of product, packaging and vehicle unloading, while leading a team to ensure smooth operations.

You will train and coach colleagues, uphold health and safety policies, and seek continuous improvements to reduce waste and maximise labour efficiency. Experience with reach and counterbalance forklifts is essential, as is strong communication in English.

Qualifications

• Forklift operator with reach and counterbalance experience.
• Supervisory/leadership experience in warehouse environment.
• Good English literacy and numeracy; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day running of a designated warehouse area.
• Coordinate movement of product and packaging and unload vehicles.
• Train and coach team members to improve capability.
• Enforce Health, Safety and Hygiene policies and ensure proper work practices.
• Identify and implement cost-saving and efficiency improvements.
