Job summary

Axe Valley Vets, part of IVC Evidensia, is seeking a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to shape clinical standards across a multi-site practice. You will lead the veterinary team, govern complex cases and drive continuous improvement while staying hands-on with a varied caseload.

This senior role offers 40-hour weeks across 4 or 5 days, with a 1:8 late shift and 1:10 Saturdays, plus substantial professional development and a supportive management structure to help you grow and influence service delivery.

Qualifications

• Veterinary degree and registration with the RCVS.
• Experience leading a veterinary team and governance.
• Ability to mentor and develop others in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical standards, governance and delivery of care.
• Provide clinical leadership to the team and oversee complex cases.
• Support strategic direction and drive continuous clinical improvement.
• Manage 40-hour week across 4 or 5 days with on-call patterns.
