Job summary

Chattyvets is seeking a Head Veterinary Nurse in Surrey. The role offers leadership of the nursing team, shaping the practice, and maintaining high clinical standards. The position includes nurse-led appointments, Schedule 3 activities and close collaboration with the hospital network.

The successful candidate will be RCVS-registered, enjoy coaching colleagues and will participate in hospital rota and weekend shifts to support comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

• Must be RCVS-registered as a Veterinary Nurse.
• Experience leading a nursing team.
• Strong commitment to clinical and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and develop the nursing team.
• Shape day-to-day running and development of the practice.
• Nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 activities.
• Support consultations, surgery and procedures.
• Patient monitoring, admissions and discharges.
• Coach and develop colleagues.
• Work with Practice Partner and leadership team.
• Participate in hospital rota and weekend shifts.
