Job summary

J.P. Morgan Personal Investing seeks a Lead UX Designer to craft intuitive web and mobile experiences for clients. You will collaborate with researchers, product managers, marketers, engineers, and commercial teams to convert complex goals into clear, accessible interfaces.

This role emphasizes design leadership, end-to-end delivery, and a strong design system. You will mentor junior designers, advocate for accessibility, and drive discovery-to-delivery loops balancing user needs with business

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience delivering customer-facing products across mobile and web.
• Ability to lead complex initiatives end-to-end with a strong portfolio.
• Proven stakeholder management and confident communication to senior audiences.
• Strong systems thinking for scale, consistency, and maintainability.
• Experience with research and usability testing; comfortable with test-and-iterate.
• Proficiency in Figma and modern prototyping workflows.
• Experience mentoring at least one team member or coaching capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead key design initiatives end-to-end across mobile and web.
• Own design direction from problem framing through execution.
• Produce high-quality outputs: journeys, IA, flows, prototypes, UI specs.
• Drive discovery-to-delivery loop with Research and Product teams.
• Ensure accessibility, usability, and consistency across touchpoints.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership on goals and milestones.
• Articulate design rationale in senior forums grounded in user needs and business drivers.
• Identify and mitigate risks to design quality or delivery.
• Champion design system usage and contribute to patterns and components.
• Provide coaching and career development for direct reports.
