Zoocha is seeking a Lead UX Consultant within our growing cross-functional Experience Team. This is a new role within the agency, reporting directly to the Creative Director.

Your remit

As a senior member of our multidisciplinary Experience team, you will help lead Zoocha’s strategic experience design work and UX consultancy offering.

You’ll play a key role in helping discover, define and design experiences, ensuring our output is grounded in research, data and insights, and delivers ongoing value to our clients and their audiences.

As well as working alongside other UX practitioners, you’ll also work very closely with our creative and UI design team, feeding into the strategy and design of a wide range of audience-centred digital products, services and experiences, from websites to native mobile apps and global design systems.

This is a hybrid working role, with the flexibility to work remotely some of the time, but with an expectation that you’ll be based at our Hertford office at least one day per week. Some travel to clients is also expected.

As a senior practitioner within the business, your work will be split between non-billable management, new business and internal projects, and billable work (including oversight) on client projects.

Mandatory requirements:

• Based in the UK, ideally within regular commuting distance of our Hertford office.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.

Must-have skills and experience:

• Minimum of 5 years’ agency experience, currently in a senior UX design/ consultancy role, seeking your next step up.
• Exceptional UX design craft paired with a strategic, consultative mindset.
• Passionate about UX and eager to inspire and lead the team through mentoring and coaching.
• Deep practical experience in planning, conducting, analyzing, and presenting research studies.
• Proficiency in analyzing data (e.g., GA4, Hotjar) and experience with CRO tools.
• Experience creating UX/CX deliverables such as wireframes, prototypes, journey maps, user flows, personas, and IA.
• Skilled in creating user stories and product backlogs.
• Ability to translate insights into strategic recommendations and compelling narratives.
• Experience designing and working with complex, global design systems, proficient in Figma.
• Understanding of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
• Experience facilitating workshops.
• Experience designing native mobile apps for iOS and Android.
• Good commercial awareness and understanding of project delivery within budget and time.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies for innovative experiences.
• Exceptional communication skills for explaining complex concepts.
