Job summary

ERM is seeking a Lead Assessor for UK Emissions Trading Scheme (UK ETS) to oversee verification engagements with major energy-intensive industries. You will evaluate emissions reporting systems, provide expert guidance on regulatory requirements, and lead complex audits from planning to closure.

The role requires strong communication, stakeholder management, and a track record in carbon accounting and ISO standards.

Qualifications

Formal auditing or verification experience in high-emission industries.
In-depth knowledge of UK ETS regulations and carbon accounting principles.
Experience applying ISO management standards in auditing contexts.

Responsibilities

Lead UK ETS verification engagements from planning through reporting and closure.
Evaluate emissions reporting systems, processes, and controls for accuracy.
Prepare technical reports detailing findings, observations, and non-conformities.
Provide expert guidance on UK ETS requirements and industry best practices.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to align verification activities with regulatory frameworks.
Build trusted relationships with clients, regulators, and industry stakeholders.
Support business development by identifying opportunities to expand ERM CVS's services.
