Job summary

Bentley Motors Limited in Crewe seeks a Lead UI Designer within the Holistic Design team to shape premium digital interfaces, HMI and design systems for iconic products.

Reporting to the Head of Design, you will lead UI projects from concept to delivery, mentor designers, collaborate with product, UX, engineering and technology teams, and advance Bentley's Beyond100+ strategy.

This permanent, full‑time role offers flexible hours and hybrid working along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Expertise in UI and HMI design with strong visual hierarchy, typography and accessibility.
• Proficient in UI design tools and prototyping, including high-fidelity interfaces.
• Strong portfolio showing brand-consistent digital/product interfaces.
• Experience leading UI design projects end-to-end and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
• Experience developing or maintaining design systems or component libraries.
• Proven stakeholder management and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience collaborating with developers for responsive, accessible interfaces.
• Experience mentoring designers and raising UI maturity.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of high-quality UI solutions across Bentley’s products.
• Develop and champion Bentley’s UI Design System and guidelines.
• Define digital interface direction aligned with brand strategy.
• Lead the UI Design Forum and ensure governance across projects.
• Represent Bentley in Group UI initiatives and ensure alignment with standards.
• Mentor designers and foster a culture of innovation.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, Engineering and Technology teams.
• Present concepts and prototypes to stakeholders and iterate based on feedback.
