Job summary

Future Talent Group is recruiting for a British defence/aerospace innovator to build a new UAV engineering team. The role leads guidance, navigation and control across UAV platforms, defining requirements and tuning control and navigation approaches to integrate with the wider aircraft system.

You will collaborate with simulation, software and flight test engineers, seeing designs proven in the air and contributing to robust, high-performance autonomous systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in GNC, flight control or navigation systems.
• Good understanding of control theory, state estimation and sensor fusion.
• A systems engineering mindset across requirements, integration and verification.
• Experience taking systems through development and test.
• Comfortable working across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing guidance, navigation and control solutions
• Working with INS, GNSS/GPS and other navigation sensors, including sensor fusion
• Defining system requirements, architecture and interfaces
• Supporting integration, verification and flight testing
• Analysing flight data to improve aircraft performance and robustness
