Job summary

Stantec in London is looking for a Principal Transport Planner to lead a diverse portfolio of high-profile transport planning projects across development, infrastructure and energy sectors. You will manage client relationships, guide technical delivery and contribute to business development from London to the wider UK.

You will mentor junior staff and drive quality, ensuring solutions meet sustainable transport objectives while supporting growth of the Transport Planning team.

Qualifications

• You’ll be an experienced Transport Planner with strong technical expertise and a proven ability to lead and deliver transport planning projects within a consultancy environment.
• Experience delivering development planning projects, ideally within London.
• Good understanding of the UK planning system and transport assessment process.

Responsibilities

• Lead the successful delivery of transport planning projects across the development, infrastructure and energy sectors.
• Build trusted relationships with developers, local authorities and key stakeholders, becoming a valued advisor to clients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and sustainable transport solutions.
• Support business development by identifying opportunities, contributing to bids and helping grow our presence across London and the wider UK.
• Mentor and develop junior colleagues, helping to build capability and knowledge within the team.
• Drive quality and technical excellence, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest professional standards.
