Job summary

Stantec in Birmingham is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate Transport Planner to lead the delivery of transport planning projects across development and infrastructure schemes. You will manage client relationships, mentor junior staff and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver low‑carbon, sustainable transport solutions.

Based in our Birmingham office, you’ll contribute to business development, drive project delivery from concept to completion and help grow the local transport

Qualifications

• Strong experience in transport planning, ideally in land development.
• Proven leadership, project delivery and client management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A proactive approach and passion for low‑carbon transport.

Responsibilities

• Lead transport planning projects across development and infrastructure schemes.
• Prepare and oversee Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, modelling and environmental work.
• Build and maintain client and stakeholder relationships.
• Manage projects, programmes and budgets.
• Mentor and support junior team members.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to business development.
