Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer - United Kingdom (Remote)

We are seeking an experienced engineer to lead the design of complex signalised junctions, pedestrian crossings, and intelligent traffic control systems across high-profile infrastructure projects. This role offers a 50/50 split between remote work and onsite presence, suitable for surveys, design validations, and stakeholder engagement.

Joining our Engineering Team at Telent, you'll be empowered to innovate and collaborate with technical experts committed to impactful work. Contribute to building and maintaining the nation's critical infrastructure, ensuring connectivity and security 24/7.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site inspections, surveys, commissioning, and supervision
• Prepare technical designs for complex signalised junctions and crossings, including specifications
• Provide technical oversight for new product or service ideas and design plans
• Develop complex MOVA Designs and MOVA Datasets
• Adhere to design standards such as TSRGD, DMRB, and the Traffic Signs Manual
• Perform MOVA Validations of junctions and roundabouts

Candidate Profile:

Ideal candidates will have experience designing signalised junctions and crossings, seeking to advance to a Senior Design Services Engineer role with fresh perspectives on Traffic Signal Design solutions.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Keysignals, OSC Mapper, AutoTURN
• Microsoft Office skills
• Knowledge of TOPAS 2500A Traffic Signal Controller Specifications
• Familiarity with MOVA tools, datasets, and linking
• Knowledge of LinSig 3
• Full UK Driving Licence
