Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer United Kingdom (Remote) Job Description

We're looking for an experienced engineer to lead the design of complex signalised junctions, pedestrian crossings, and intelligent traffic control systems across a range of high-profile infrastructure projects. This role offers a 50/50 split between home working and onsite presence—ideal for surveys, design validations, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site inspections, surveys, commissioning, and supervision
• Prepare technical designs for complex signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings following approved procedures, including specifications
• Provide technical oversight for new product or service ideas and design plans
• Develop complex MOVA Designs and MOVA Datasets
• Apply knowledge of standards such as TSRGD, DMRB, and the Traffic Signs Manual
• Perform MOVA Validations of complex junctions and roundabouts

Candidate Profile:

Ideal candidates will have experience designing signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings, seeking to advance to a Senior Design Services Engineer role with fresh perspectives on Traffic Signal Design solutions.

Key Requirements:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Keysignals, OSC Mapper, AutoTURN
• Microsoft Office skills
• Knowledge of TOPAS 2500A Traffic Signal Controller Specifications
• Familiarity with MOVA tools, datasets, and linking
• Experience with LinSig 3
• Full UK Driving Licence
