Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer - United Kingdom (Remote)

We're looking for an experienced engineer to lead the design of complex signalised junctions, pedestrian crossings, and intelligent traffic control systems across a range of high-profile infrastructure projects. This role offers a 50/50 split between home working and onsite presence—ideal for surveys, design validations, and stakeholder engagement.

Join our Engineering Team at Telent to innovate and drive solutions, working closely with technical experts committed to impactful work. Contribute to maintaining the nation's critical infrastructure connectivity and security 24/7.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site inspections, surveys, commissioning, and supervision
• Prepare technical designs for complex signalised junctions and crossings, including specifications
• Provide technical oversight on new product or service ideas and plans
• Prepare complex MOVA Designs and MOVA Datasets
• Ensure compliance with design standards such as TSRGD, DMRB, and the Traffic Signs Manual
• Undertake MOVA Validations of complex junctions and roundabouts

Candidate Profile:

Ideal candidates will have experience designing signalised junctions and crossings, seeking to advance to a Senior Design Services Engineer role with fresh perspectives on existing solutions within Traffic Signal Design.

Key Requirements:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Keysignals, OSC Mapper, and AutoTURN
• Microsoft Office skills
• Knowledge of TOPAS 2500A Traffic Signal Controller Specifications
• Familiarity with MOVA tools, datasets, and linking
• Knowledge of LinSig 3
• Full UK Driving Licence
