Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer - United Kingdom (Remote)

We're looking for an experienced engineer to lead the design of complex signalised junctions, pedestrian crossings, and intelligent traffic control systems across high-profile infrastructure projects. This role offers a 50/50 split between home working and onsite presence—ideal for surveys, design validations, and stakeholder engagement.

Joining our Engineering Team at Telent means you'll be empowered to innovate and collaborate with technical experts committed to impactful work. Contribute to building and maintaining the nation's critical infrastructure, ensuring connectivity and protection 24/7.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site inspections, surveys, commissioning, and supervision
• Prepare technical designs for complex signalised junctions and crossings, including specifications
• Provide technical oversight for new product or service ideas and design plans
• Develop complex MOVA Designs and Datasets
• Ensure compliance with standards such as TSRGD, DMRB, and the Traffic Signs Manual
• Validate MOVA systems for junctions and roundabouts

Candidate Profile:

Ideal candidates will have experience designing signalised junctions and crossings, seeking to advance to a Senior Design Services Engineer role with a fresh perspective on traffic signal solutions.

Key Requirements:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Keysignals, OSC Mapper, and AutoTURN
• Microsoft Office skills
• Knowledge of TOPAS 2500A Traffic Signal Controller Specifications
• Familiarity with MOVA tools, datasets, and linking
• Experience with LinSig 3
• Full UK Driving Licence
