Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer United Kingdom (Remote)

Job Description

We're seeking an experienced engineer to lead the design of complex signalised junctions, pedestrian crossings, and intelligent traffic control systems across high-profile infrastructure projects. This role offers a 50/50 split between remote work and onsite presence—ideal for surveys, design validation, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities of Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer:

• Conduct on-site inspections, surveys, commissioning, and supervision
• Prepare technical designs for complex signalised junctions and crossings following approved procedures, including technical specifications
• Provide technical oversight on new product or service ideas and design planning
• Develop complex MOVA Designs and Datasets
• Apply design standards such as TSRGD, DMRB, and the Traffic Signs Manual
• Validate MOVA systems for complex junctions and roundabouts

Candidate Profile:

Ideal candidates will have experience designing signalised junctions and crossings and seek to advance to a Senior Design Services Engineer role, bringing fresh perspectives to existing traffic signal solutions.

Key Requirements:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Keysignals, OSC Mapper, and AutoTURN
• Microsoft Office skills
• Knowledge of TOPAS 2500A Traffic Signal Controller Specifications
• Familiarity with MOVA Tools, Datasets, and Linking
• Experience with LinSig 3
• Full UK Driving Licence
