Job summary

The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust in Sutton is seeking a Band 7 Therapeutic Radiographer (1.0 WTE) to lead radiotherapy processes and supervise the radiographic team. You will work within a renowned cancer centre known for research, education and high-quality patient care.

You will be responsible for planning, delivery and verification of treatments, with opportunities to mentor students and junior staff while liaising with medical, physics and nursing colleagues.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as a therapeutic radiographer (BSc Hons or equivalent).
• Postgraduate qualification in therapeutic radiography leadership/management.
• Postgraduate training in assessing, supervising or teaching.

Responsibilities

• Lead radiographer at the work base, ensuring evidence-based decision making and safe planning.
• Oversee treatment delivery and verification with the team, including students and visitors.
• Liaise with medical, physics, nursing and support staff to maintain standards and protocol compliance.
• Train staff in equipment operation and safety per manufacturers' guidelines and IR(ME)R.
