Job summary

The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 7 Therapeutic Radiographer (1.0 WTE) in Sutton. You will lead radiotherapy processes, supervise a team, and collaborate with medical, physics, nursing and support staff in a world-leading cancer centre.

Responsibilities include evidence-based decision making, training, planning and delivery of treatment, and maintenance of professional standards. HCPC registered radiographer with postgraduate leadership credentials is required.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as a therapeutic radiographer (BSc/Hons in Radiotherapy or equivalent)
• Postgraduate attainment in therapeutic radiography related subject/leadership/management
• Postgraduate qualification/training in assessing/supervising/teaching

Responsibilities

• Lead radiotherapy processes at a specialist base and manage a team/Project (digital transformation)
• Supervise radiographic team including students and visitors
• Liaise with medical, physics, nursing, clerical and support staff
• Ensure accurate output of radiotherapy processes and safe practice
• Train team in operation of equipment under supervision
• Meet regulatory duties under IR(ME)R and document records accurately
• Make evidence-based decisions and verify planning and treatment images
