Job summary

The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust in Sutton is seeking a Band 7 Therapeutic Radiographer for 1.0 WTE. This highly respected cancer centre delivers world-class patient care, research and education across two hospitals in London and Surrey.

The role requires clinical leadership, advanced radiotherapy planning and delivery, and the supervision of a radiography team. A strong emphasis on professional development and multidisciplinary collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as a therapeutic radiographer (BSc (Hons) in Radiotherapy or equivalent).
• Postgraduate attainment in therapeutic radiography related subject/leadership/management.
• Postgraduate qualification/training in assessing/supervising/teaching.

Responsibilities

• Lead radiotherapy processes at a specialist, highly complex work base (treatment unit, CT, planning area or project team).
• Supervise radiographic team including students and visitors; ensure accurate and effective radiotherapy outputs.
• Liaise with medical, physics, nursing, clerical and support staff; build relationships with superintendent radiographers.
• Maintain professional standards and provide training in equipment operation per guidelines and IR(ME)R requirements.
• Make evidence-based decisions within prescribed practice and ensure accurate record keeping.
