Job summary

Circle Health Group is hiring a Lead Theatre Practitioner at Chelsfield Park Hospital in Kent. The role is 37.5 hours per week, permanent, with a flexible shift pattern including weekends and on-call.

You will lead the theatre team, uphold patient safety, and mentor staff across perioperative pathways. The ideal candidate is an NMC/HCPC registered practitioner with extensive theatre experience and proven clinical leadership.

Qualifications

• Registered practitioner with significant theatre experience (scrub, recovery, or anaesthetics).
• Demonstrated clinical leadership and ability to mentor peers.
• Strong understanding of patient safety protocols and clinical governance.
• Experience with leading audits, service improvements or clinical teaching.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care across the perioperative pathway.
• Ensure patient safety checks and WHO surgical safety processes are followed.
• Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision for theatre staff and support teams.
• Mentor and coach junior staff and students; drive CPD within the team.
