Job summary

Saab UK on Fareham Campus is seeking a Lead Test Engineer to drive the test engineering function across electro-mechanical systems. You will plan, design and implement test cases, develop automated tooling, and manage the Test Engineering team to ensure products meet stringent requirements.

The role requires a degree or HNC in engineering, strong knowledge of electrical/electronic engineering, and hands-on experience with LabVIEW and TestStand in a test/multi-disciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent required.
• Experience in test environments for electro-mechanical systems.
• Proven ability to supervise/mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead Test Engineer to guide the Test Engineering team and manage workload.
• Design test cases to verify requirements across electro-mechanical systems.
• Develop test jigs, harnesses, and software for test execution.
• Analyse requirements and prepare formal Test Reports and evidence.
