Job summary

DWP Digital with Purpose. is seeking a Lead Test Engineer to shape and assure the quality of data products and services across a complex digital landscape. You will lead testing strategies, champion best practices, and drive automation across cloud and on-premise environments.

You will work with Product Managers, Architects and Engineering teams to embed quality, influence decisions and deliver resilient data solutions that support millions of users.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading testing across multiple teams.
• Extensive experience designing and implementing functional and non-functional testing strategies.
• Proven success leading, recruiting, coaching and developing high-performing Test Engineers.
• Expert-level experience in Python-based test automation in cloud CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing across multiple teams and define testing strategies for cloud-native, open-source and commercial data platforms.
• Embed quality standards, governance, test automation, and best practices across the software delivery lifecycle.
• Drive automation and continuous testing to ensure robust quality of data solutions.
• Mentor and grow Test Engineers, shaping a high-performing testing community within DWP Digital.
