Job summary

CoMind is seeking a senior software leader to manage a cross-functional DevOps and test engineering team within a regulated medical device environment. You will set priorities, develop plans, drive performance, and remain hands-on in the technical direction.

The role is based in our London (Kings Cross) office with a flexible work-from-home day. You will own CI/CD strategy, embedded Linux Yocto builds, V&V, and compliance-as-code workflows mapped to IEC 62304 and ISO 14971, while guiding data

Qualifications

10+ years in software, DevOps, or test engineering with at least 3 years in an engineering management or team lead role.
Proven experience leading and growing DevOps, test, platform, or infrastructure teams.
Strong hands-on background in CI/CD, build systems, and test automation for embedded and/or cloud systems.
Experience with embedded Linux build and deployment, ideally Yocto-based BSPs, or a strong equivalent.
Experience architecting scalable test infrastructure spanning embedded hardware and cloud-side data pipelines.
Experience delivering in a regulated industry (medical devices, aerospace, automotive, or similar), with working knowledge of IEC 62304 and ISO 14971.
Advanced Python and C/C++, with experience of infrastructure-as-code and at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

Responsibilities

Mentor and develop a team of DevOps and test engineers.
Own CI/CD strategy and build/release infra across software stack.
Own the Yocto-based embedded Linux platform build and deployment, including signed software update with rollback.
Lead architecture reviews and contribute to codebases for high-level hurdles.
Define and drive the software V&V and test automation strategy.
Establish compliance-as-code workflows mapping verification evidence to IEC 62304/ISO 14971.
Own cloud data pipelines and infrastructure-as-code for data ingest and MLOps.
Coordinate cybersecurity workstreams with IT and QARA teams.
Partner with Software Engineering Manager on release processes and automated quality gates.
