Job summary

Lorien is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to join a growing technology team delivering high-quality digital solutions. You will design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, driving continual improvement in test automation practices.

The role may be based in Leeds or London with 2–3 days onsite, a 12-month contract and Inside IR35. Active SC Clearance is advantageous for this position.

Qualifications

• Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Karate, Postman, or SOAPUI.
• Knowledge of Java or Python.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Knowledge of Cucumber BDD.
• Docker and Kubernetes exposure.
• Performance and security testing experience.
• Kafka, IBM MQ, or ACE knowledge.
• Banking or Financial Services experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automated test frameworks and test scripts.
• Execute UI, API, and integration testing activities.
• Integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders.
• Investigate and resolve automation test failures.
• Contribute to automation strategy, tooling, and best practices.
• Support quality assurance throughout the software development lifecycle
