Job summary

Scott Logic is seeking a Lead Test Engineer to join our Newcastle city centre team. This hands‑on, client‑facing role covers the full software lifecycle, delivering high‑impact projects for global clients in multidisciplinary teams.

You’ll contribute to testing strategy, automation, and rapid problem solving in a collaborative, pragmatic culture. We value a strong testing mindset, API/Web testing experience, and a willingness to learn new tools in an Agile setting.

Qualifications

• A deep love for the craft of Testing.
• Experience on large scale or complex Web Application and or API Testing.
• Experience in Automation testing with technologies such as Selenium, Cucumber, SoapUI.
• Strong collaboration and communication techniques.
• Experience in an Agile environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the fundamentals of testing in a context‑driven way.
• A desire to learn new technologies and approaches.

This role is based in our city centre office and is likely to involve occasional travel (infrequent day trips or a few days at a time) to visit our clients, across the UK. If you are interested in more travel, then opportunities are available, we are open to conversation on this.
