Carmichael UK is seeking an experienced Temporary Works Coordinator to lead the temporary works process on major civils projects across the UK.

You will act as the designated TWC, coordinate temporary works designs with designers, site teams, and subcontractors, and ensure compliance with BS 5975.

This role requires excellent communication and a valid UK driving licence, with exposure to high-profile infrastructure and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• CITB Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) certification is required.
• Proven civil/heavy civils experience across infrastructure sectors.
• Strong knowledge of BS 5975 and temporary works procedures.
• Experience coordinating multiple temporary works packages on live projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Act as the designated Temporary Works Coordinator on major civils projects.
• Manage the temporary works process in accordance with BS 5975.
• Coordinate temporary works designs and approvals with designers, site teams, and subcontractors.
• Ensure all temporary works are properly identified, planned, implemented, maintained, and dismantled.
• Maintain Temporary Works Registers and associated documentation.
• Chair Temporary Works meetings and provide technical guidance to operational teams.
• Ensure inspections are completed and permits are issued where required.
• Promote the highest standards of health, safety, and compliance across projects.
