Job summary

Bridges Electrical Engineers in the UK is seeking a Temporary Works Coordinator to join our design and site teams, ensuring Temporary Works are identified, designed and safely implemented across multiple projects. You will coordinate across Wales, the South-West and Midlands, provide technical support, maintain records, promote best practice, and drive health, safety and welfare on site.

Applicants should have formal Temporary Works training (CITB TW Coordinator), strong engineering knowledge,

Qualifications

• Strong practical and technical Temporary Works experience.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple projects.
• Knowledge of BS 5975:2008+A1:2018 and CDM Regulations 2015.
• Ability to interpret drawings and design information.
• Experience auditing contractors' Temporary Works procedures.
• Commitment to health, safety and welfare legislation.
• Excellent stakeholder-management and communication skills.
• Collaborative approach across Project Managers, Engineers and Site Teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Temporary Works across West Delivery regions (Wales, South-West & Midlands).
• Act as the main contact between project, design and site teams for Temporary Works requirements.
• Ensure Temporary Works designs are developed and implemented.
• Prepare Temporary Works Design Briefs and obtain input from stakeholders.
• Submit Design Briefs to Temporary Works Designers and ensure appropriate designs are completed.
• Ensure designs are independently checked for concept, structural adequacy and compliance.
• Coordinate Design Check Certificates and Design Packs.
• Maintain records of drawings, calculations and Temporary Works documentation.
• Establish and maintain the Temporary Works Register for allocated projects.
• Ensure TW requirements are incorporated into RAMS.
• Provide design information to site teams highlighting significant risks and limitations.
• Manage changes to Temporary Works requirements and implement remedial actions on site.
• Monitor and support Temporary Works Supervisors and training needs.
• Ensure appropriate Temporary Works inspections and maintenance throughout the period of use.
