Job summary

Winsearch is seeking a Temporary Works Construction Manager to oversee planning, design oversight, and safe execution of temporary works on site in Barrow-in-Furness, England. You will ensure compliance with BS 5975 and project requirements throughout the lifecycle of temporary works.

Responsibilities include developing TWMP, coordinating with design teams and subcontractors, approving designs, and leading RAMS reviews and incident investigations to promote a strong safety culture on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
• Formal Temporary Works training (e.g., TWC/TWS) is desirable.
• Knowledge of BS 5975 (UK) or equivalent standards.
• IOSH/NEBOSH certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate temporary works across construction activities.
• Oversee design checks and approve safe temporary works installations.
• Maintain TWMP, registers, and inspection records.
• Lead RAMS reviews and incident investigations related to temporary works.
• Coordinate with TWD, TWDC, site teams, and subcontractors.
