Job summary

Hill & Hill Recruitment Ltd in London is seeking a Lead Technical Services Manager to take ownership of all building services on a flagship retrofit and refurbishment project.

You will lead mechanical, electrical and public health activities, coordinate with clients, consultants and construction teams, and drive programme, quality and operational performance across the works.

This highly visible role requires strong leadership and a proactive approach to risk, safety and document control.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Technical Services/leadership role within commercial fit-out, refurbishment or retrofit projects.
• Strong understanding of building services systems (MEP) and their integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead all technical services activities throughout construction and commissioning.
• Coordinate MEP consultants, subcontractors and supply chain partners.
• Review design information for technical compliance, buildability and programme.
• Drive building services coordination with architectural and structural elements.
• Oversee procurement, installation and commissioning to ensure delivery.
• Manage technical queries, design changes and project risks with proactive solutions.
• Chair technical workshops and coordination meetings with consultants and subcontractors.
• Ensure work is delivered to quality standards, statutory requirements and client expectations.
• Lead testing, commissioning and handover processes, with thorough documentation.
• Support the wider project team to deliver a safe, efficient and technically excellent project.
