Job summary

Fawkes & Reece in Cardiff Bay is seeking an experienced Technical Manager to oversee the technical delivery of façade, building envelope and fire safety projects. You will work closely with design teams, site teams, consultants, subcontractors and clients to ensure delivery to programme and budget.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in façades, cladding, building envelope or fire safety remediation, with excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Technical Manager or similar in façade/building envelope projects.
• Strong knowledge of rainscreen cladding, EWI and render.
• Proven ability to coordinate with design teams, subcontractors and clients.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and record-keeping skills.
• Good understanding of quality and construction standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee technical delivery of façade and building envelope projects.
• Review drawings, specifications and construction details.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers and site teams.
• Provide technical support from design through to construction.
• Ensure compliance with specifications, regulations and project requirements.
• Resolve technical issues with practical solutions.
• Review design changes and material specifications.
• Support procurement and installation teams with technical guidance.
• Attend design and project meetings.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and records.
