Job summary

Computacenter AG & Co. oHG is seeking a Technical Lead for Direct Liquid Cooling to drive pre-sales, design reviews and scalable delivery in Hatfield.

You will coordinate across sales, customers, vendors and delivery teams to design robust DLC-enabled data centre solutions. You will guide workshops, translate complex requirements into practical configurations and ensure successful onboarding into operational environments, with a focus on high-density compute and AI infrastructure where

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with Direct Liquid Cooling technologies and data centre environments.
• Experience in technical consulting, solution architecture or pre-sales with customers.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical lead for DLC opportunities from pre-sales through pilot, test, build and production.
• Engage with customers to understand requirements and shape effective solutions.
• Support Sales by demonstrating the Integration Centre and DLC capabilities.
• Collaborate with Vertiv and other vendors to validate compatibility and requirements.
• Lead workshops and technical discussions with customers, partners and internal teams.
• Translate requirements into practical configuration guidance and delivery processes.
• Bridge between customers, vendors, project teams and delivery teams.
• Ensure services are onboarded into operational environments at scale.
• Provide technical leadership and third-level support for complex challenges.
• Capture and communicate emerging technologies and industry trends.

Computacenter is investing heavily in the future of high-performance infrastructure, and this role sits at the centre of that transformation. As part of our Tech Enablement team, you'll play a critical role in helping customers adopt Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC) technologies while supporting the launch and growth of our new capability within the Hatfield Integration Centre. You'll work across Sales, customers, vendors, technical teams and operational stakeholders, helping setting up technical design and enable successful service delivery.

This is a highly visible, customer-facing position where you'll influence how some of the most advanced data centre solutions are designed, validated and delivered. You'll collaborate with leading technology manufacturers, integration centres across multiple countries and senior customer stakeholders to create scalable and repeatable solutions that drive real business value.

What you'll do

• Act as the technical lead for Direct Liquid Cooling opportunities, supporting customers from pre-sales through pilot, test, build and production.
• Engage directly with customers to understand requirements, provide technical consultancy and help shape effective solutions.
• Support Sales teams by demonstrating the value of Computacenter's Integration Centre and Direct Liquid Cooling capabilities.
• Work closely with vendors including Vertiv and major infrastructure manufacturers to validate solution compatibility and implementation requirements.
• Lead workshops and technical discussions with customers, partners and internal stakeholders.
• Translate complex customer requirements into practical configuration guidance and repeatable delivery processes.
• Act as the bridge between customers, vendors, project teams, technical specialists and operational delivery teams.
• Ensure services can be successfully onboarded into operational environments and delivered at scale.
• Provide technical leadership and third-level support for complex solution challenges.
• Capture and communicate emerging technologies, industry developments and best practice across the organisation

What you'll need

• Extensive practical experience with Direct Liquid Cooling technologies
• Strong understanding of data centre infrastructure including servers, storage, networking, power and cooling environments.
• Experience working directly with customers in a technical consulting, solution architecture or pre-sales capacity.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear customer value propositions and operational solutions.
• Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders across vendors, customers, sales teams and technical delivery functions.
• Strong workshop facilitation, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of service onboarding, operational readiness and transitioning solutions into delivery.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence senior technical and business stakeholders.
• A passion for emerging technologies and continuous improvement.
• Degree-level qualification or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience supporting high-density compute, AI infrastructure or advanced data centre deployments.
• Knowledge of configuration services, integration centres or large-scale deployment operations.
