? The Role

As Lead Technical Architect, you will be at the forefront of designing, assuring, and integrating large-scale, mission-critical systems. You’ll work hand-in-hand with our clients and supplier teams to set the architectural direction, develop robust technology roadmaps, and ensure the delivery of secure, high-quality solutions that meet strategic objectives. This is more than a traditional architecture role—it’s an opportunity to lead with technical vision and strategic influence, within a collaborative consultancy culture that thrives on innovation and problem-solving.

? What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead Strategy & Design: Direct the architecture strategy, system design, and technical assurance for secure, enterprise-scale systems.
  • Client & Supplier Guidance: Navigate clients through complex integration challenges—from legacy transformations to cloud-native deployments.
  • Governance & Compliance: Manage architecture governance, ensuring strict adherence to compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, security protocols) and supplier delivery assurance.
  • Collaborative Alignment: Work closely with project, commercial, and delivery teams to align technology with overall business outcomes.
  • Future-Proofing: Develop technology roadmaps that keep our architecture ahead of evolving industry demands.

? What You Bring

  • Proven Leadership: A strong track record in technical leadership and architecting large-scale, mission-critical systems.
  • Deep Expertise: Extensive experience in application and integration architectures.
  • Complex Integration: Proven ability to work with major IT service providers on intricate system integrations.
  • Security Savvy: A solid understanding of secure systems delivery and familiarity with industry-standard architecture frameworks and tools.
  • Strategic Insight: Experience in tech transformation strategies, project planning, and effective risk management.
  • Clear Communication: A confident communicator with a genuine passion for solving challenging technical problems.

? Where You’ll Work

  • Flexible Options: Choose to work from home or one of our UK offices, including locations in Bristol, Cheltenham, London, and more.
  • On-Site Expectations: You will be expected to spend 1-2 days per week at client locations in Farnborough, Winchester, or London.

? Security Clearance Requirement

Given the sensitive nature of our projects, candidates must be British citizens and have lived in the UK for the last 5 years. You must be eligible for high-level security clearance—if you already hold it, that’s an added advantage.

? Why Join Us?

We provide the dynamic agility of a small team paired with the resources and stability of a larger organisation. Enjoy a competitive compensation package and an array of benefits, including:

  • Competitive Salary + Performance-Based Rewards
  • Flexible Work Options: Enjoy a 37.5-hour workweek with flexi-time and hybrid/home working.
  • Learning & Development: Access 5 days of external training per year and a personal development budget.
  • Career Growth: Benefit from career coaching, technical guilds, and self-directed progression.
  • Wellbeing Package: Receive matched pension contributions, private healthcare, and participation in monthly team socials.

This isn’t just a job—it’s your chance to shape the technology that underpins the UK’s most vital systems. If you are an experienced architect ready to secure the future, we’d love to hear from you.
