Job summary

Oasis Academy Brislington is seeking a Lead Teaching Assistant for the One Hub provision. You will support students pastorally, promote attendance and work with families to ensure well-being and attainment. A teaching qualification is not required, and the role is based at the Bristol site.

The post is a fixed term, 12-month contract, 34.17 hours per week, term-time only, with a salary aligned to SCP 13-17 plus LGPS (£30,023 - £32,046 FTE). Term-time salary is £23,849 - £25,456.

• Provide care, support and challenge for students and families with SEMH needs.
• Collaborate with pastoral staff to support learner well-being and attainment.

• The RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to support students pastorally to achieve and be the best version of themselves on a daily basis via our One Hub provision. The One Hub is our onsite alternative provision hub to support students with SEMH needs. You will work in close collaboration with other pastoral staff working holistically and preventatively to ensure learner well-being and attainment by providing care, support and challenge for the students and families within the One Hub. You will promote positive attendance and punctuality through the Academy Attendance strategy and provide professional support to vulnerable students and their families to include access to multi-agency support. Please note that a teaching qualification is not required for this role. You should enjoy working with disadvantaged young people and be able to establish positive working relationships; setting and upholding high expectations for learning and behaviour.
