Job summary
Ultra Intelligence & Communications seeks a Principal Systems Lead to govern the systems engineering lifecycle across an assigned project. You will own the solution, refine requirements, and drive delivery with cross-disciplinary teams.
The role requires deep technical leadership, independent judgment, and the ability to mentor others while supporting recruitment and STEM engagement within the Cyber (UK) Business.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or defence/aerospace experience.
- Significant experience in Systems Engineering lifecycle and ISO/IEEE/IEC standards.
- Experience developing high quality requirements and compliant system design.
- Hands-on development experience in hardware, software or firmware (embedded).
- Experience with requirement management and modelling tools.
Responsibilities
- Represent the Systems discipline as the lead Systems Engineer on a project, delivering system requirements, plans, quality, schedule and budget.
- Define resources and delegate leadership for Systems work packages and assurance tasks.
- Lead the development of technical solutions for complex engineering problems and ensure customer requirements are met.
- Provide technical direction across project work packages and ensure modular design and reuse.
- Collaborate with system/hardware/firmware/software architects to ensure architectural integrity.
