Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Systems Test Manager for a high-profile communications systems programme in South Wales. Hybrid work arrangement is offered with on-site presence 2-3 days per week.

The role focuses on transformation, modernising test practices, automation and AI, and leadership of a test team on complex defence projects. Qualifications

• Experience in Defence or working on safety-critical systems.
• Background in change management, updating test procedures within automation and AI.
• Strong systems test and integration background working on complex programmes.
• Experience managing teams and projects, including mentorship and coaching.

Responsibilities

• Test Strategy and Planning – developing and maintaining comprehensive test plans and strategies
• Test Execution and oversight – supervising the execution of test plans, evaluation test results, identifying issues, and ensuring adherence to testing methodologies
• Team leadership and management – building, motivating and coaching test team
• Process Improvement and Quality Assurance: Monitor and optimise testing processes, define and track relevant metrics, and ensure alignment of testing goals with business objectives.
