Job summary

South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture is seeking enthusiastic Lead Swim Teachers for our expanding swimming development programme across South Lanarkshire pools. You will teach a variety of abilities and age groups, with PVG checks and appropriate qualifications required before start.

Sessions are scheduled across Hamilton venues with shifts including after-school and weekend blocks. Knowledge of SSTQ or SQA Level 7 is essential, and induction will be completed prior to paid work.

Qualifications

• Applicants must hold a Scottish Swim Teacher Qualification (SSTQ) or SQA Level 7.

Responsibilities

• Set up / take down equipment where required.
• Provide regular communication and feedback with customers/participants and colleagues.
• Plan sessions to match group level and activity goals.
• Deliver sessions following Health and Safety guidelines and risk assessments.
• Deliver fun, structured coaching in line with National Governing Body guidelines.
• Assist management with staff development and programme delivery.
