Job summary

South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture is looking for enthusiastic Lead Swim Teachers to join the expanding swimming development programme across our nine pools in South Lanarkshire. You will deliver high-quality lessons to a range of ages and abilities in line with SSTQ/SQA Level 7 qualifications, ensuring safety and progression.

PVG scheme registration and induction are required before starting any paid work; the post is fixed-term to 31 March 2027 and based at Lanark Lifestyles, Lanark.

Qualifications

• Must hold SSTQ or SQA Level 7 qualification.
• PVG Scheme registration and induction prior to paid work.

Responsibilities

• Set up / take down equipment where required.
• Ensure regular communication with customers and colleagues and provide performance information.
• Plan sessions to the correct level and deliver in line with activity goals.
• Prepare for and deliver sessions following Health and Safety guidelines and risk assessments.
• Deliver a fun, structured coaching session per National Governing Body guidelines.
• Assist management with staff development and programme delivery.
