Lead Surveyor – Nuclear Civil Engineering

Job summary

Kier’s Sizewell C project seeks a Lead Surveyor to report to the Chief Engineer within the Technical Delivery Team, managing all surveying on site and ensuring setting-out compliance. You will lead a survey team, coordinate with engineers and subcontractors, and drive data collection and reporting on a major civil project.

You will use AutoCAD and GNSS tools, ensure safety compliance, and contribute to the successful delivery of Sizewell C in Suffolk.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or related discipline.
• Proven experience in a similar role within civil engineering projects.
• Proficient in surveying and CAD software.
• Experience with modern survey equipment (GPS/GNSS, automatic total stations).

Responsibilities

• Undertake setting out for civil works including earthworks and drainage.
• Establish and maintain survey control points and benchmarks.
• Operate procedures to ensure on-site works align with drawings.
• Maintain survey management plans and processes.
• Line management of survey team including junior surveyors.
• Carry out topographical and monitoring surveys; produce reports.
