Job summary

Newlon Housing Trust is seeking an experienced Building Surveyor with Project Management skills to join the Special Projects Team in North and East London. The role focuses on latent defect remediation, external wall defects, and fire safety compliance, using BIM to record works and maintain information threads.

You will manage investigations through to completion, coordinate across consultants and contractors, ensure safety and quality, and support residents during major works.

Qualifications

• Experience managing latent defect and remediation projects.
• Strong coordination with consultants, contractors and internal teams.
• Knowledge of fire safety standards and building regulations.
• Ability to support residents during major works and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Oversee remediation and latent defect projects from investigation to completion.
• Coordinate technical work across consultants, contractors and internal teams.
• Monitor compliance, safety, quality and contractor performance.
• Lead client role under CDM Regulations and tendering of contracts.
