HQN Ltd is seeking a Building Surveyor to lead complex surveys, including structural, mould and damp issues, with responsibility for clear diagnosis, specifications, and technical advice from inspection through to completion.

You will work with residents, contractors and colleagues to ensure safe, compliant and well-managed repairs, maintaining records and communicating progress throughout cases, while applying HHSRS and building regulations across assignments.

Qualifications

• Lead on complex surveys including structural, mould and damp issues
• Provide diagnosis, specifications and technical advice from inspection through to completion
• Apply HHSRS when assessing homes and identify hazards
• Take ownership of disrepair surveys and support senior staff to ensure timely delivery
• Manage small remedial works and monitor contractor performance
• Maintain clear, accurate case and asset records and communicate effectively with residents and colleagues
• Ensure compliance with CDM, building regulations and safety requirements

Responsabilités

• Undertake property surveys to diagnose defects (damp, mould, structural) and prepare clear reports and remedial schedules
• Apply HHSRS framework when assessing hazards and mitigation requirements
• Assist senior Building Surveyors to manage disrepair surveys and legal case timelines
• Oversee small remedial works and coordinate with specialist contractors
• Survey voids, communal areas, and adaptations, ensuring progress to completion
• Conduct quality and safety inspections to verify works meet standards and regulations
• Maintain accurate records and provide timely updates to stakeholders
• Communicate technical information clearly to residents and colleagues and manage expectations
• Collaborate with broader teams to resolve complex property issues and improve outcomes
• Assist with learning and development to keep technical knowledge up-to-date
